So i just got my first z its the 2+2 with twin turbo motor tranny and diff swap. 40,000 miles on the motor. nismo buckets and nismo 4 points. suspention was redone its tight and have a full magnaflow pipe. boost gauge and turbo timer that kind of thing. So now how i got it. I was searching craigslist and seen the add and called him. he had a bunch of cars for sale and i seen that one sitting there and the guy wanted a honda civic and since i had just bought a STOCK 99 civic hatch but sohc non vtec lol and he traded me on spot. So now the bad new it seems to overheat but the rad cap it torn up and you can hear the hissing of pressure through the rad piping and connection points to rad so im guessing that is my problem. SORRY first z had to rant for a minute to people that might care lol since yelling it at the guy next door he doesnt care lol. thanks for reading look forward to talking to you all soon.

 

Congrats on your first Z and problem! Luckily a new rads fairly cheap, even the full aluminum ones aren't too pricey. If you're even luckier you might just be able to replace the cap, but I bet it's the plastic neck that the cap attaches to that's all chewed up. I had that issue when I first bought mine.

 

Thanks ya this rad is all messed up. So im gonna get a new one and hoses while im at it.

 

Good stuff. Just be very patient with the fan and shroud. A little tedious.

 

well the shroud is missing on this one so i need to buy that aswell but i love the car i got all the leaks fixed and its just comin out of the rad cap so i hope i can just change that but we will see. I am totally in love with this car.
