Just tore my !@#$ bumper off
Parked too close to a stopper (and I almost always back into spots) and tore the passenger side of the bumper cover through the bolts. GAAAH!
I've been meaning to get a new bumper cover for a year now, but I want to do it right which will cost me about $1,000 without paint. The previous owner was a bit of a nut and messed a few things up.
Well, time to break out the fiberglass. I'm not going on the cruise this Sunday with duct tape holding the damn thing on.

lol What? A JSpec front fascia costs less than $600, last I checked. A used stock one + a Stillen lip can be had for probably less than $400.

This is what I'm looking at that I need (pasted from excel):
Nissan Motorsports 99' JDM Spec Front Fascia Kit AMZ Performance $537.00
2x Smoked Turnsignals AMZ Performance $-
Mesh Grill AMZ Performance $-
Front Bumper Bracket Courtesy Nissan $20.48
Front Bumper Spacer Courtesy Nissan $32.69
Front Bumper Retainer Courtesy Nissan $10.65
4x Front Fascia Clips Courtesy Nissan $3.40
2x Turn Signal Pigtail Harness Z1 Motorsports $30.00
Right Shock Absorber (Right) Courtesy Nissan $133.95
2x Front Fascia Support Courtesy Nissan $62.12
2x Front Bumper Stay Courtesy Nissan $31.96
2x Front Bumper Retainer Courtesy Nissan $60.02
2x Front Fender Stay Courtesy Nissan $51.00
2x Front Fender Stay Grommet Courtesy Nissan $20.10
2x Front Fender Stay Screw Courtesy Nissan $2.20
4x Front Bumper Stay Screw Courtesy Nissan $4.32
4x Front Bumper Fender Screw Courtesy Nissan $4.32
4x Front Bumper Fender Nut Courtesy Nissan $17.68
there could be some duplicates on there, and I'm replacing the mounts that are there because I'm sure they're going to break any moment. I could probably go with nuts and bolts from home depot, but when I rebuilt the window regulator it was SOOO much easier having the exact ones from Nissan I'd rather pay for the convenience.
Bear in mind, this thing was salvage and was really picked clean when I got it.

pics of what? speed tape holding my bumper on?
You shoulda seen what this guy did to the car. There was a piece of aluminum angle stock holding the mounting side of the bumper cover to the front of the bumper cover. The rivets (that's not a typo) holding it together were bondoed over. Then, to make the surfaces line up flush the fender was caked with bondo as well.
I do have to admit, until the bumper came off it looked pretty smooth. Dude was a bondo master, even if that's the equivalent of sculpting pig crap into Michelangelo's David.
