Low End problem

Hey everybody, back in March of this year I blew one of the turbos on my 92 tt z32 so since I have replaced the stock turbos with 2 T25 turbos that are set to 15 PSI. The motor had to be pulled to replace the turbo's and after I got it back there was still oil in the engine that was working itself out so I changed the oil and replaced the spark plugs.

It had a little bit more turbo lag since the turbos were bigger and felt strong in the top end at first but after a few days it seems like it's not firing right in the low end. It takes much longer to spool up but at about 3k RPM's it picks up pretty well and the turbos spool up to the full 15 PSI.

It occasionally has a very slight smell of fuel. Any suggestions on what I should be looking for? Unfortunately Utah doesnt have many mechanics that are very knowledgeable about this vehicle.

Thanks for any advice in advance!

Do you have an aftermarket ECU? Because if not, you've probably done some serious damage to your engine. The stock ECU does not have air/fuel maps appropriate for increased boost levels.

Yeah the previous owner upgraded the fuel injectors to 555's and had the stock turbos running at 15 psi and the ECU was tuned for it.

Here is what was upgraded before I bought it -

Stillen H-flo Intake
Z1 Stainless Steel Twin Turbo Testpipes
Mishimoto Z32 TT performance Radiator
Greddy Profec B Spec2 Boost Controller
AMS lightweight pulley set
Chrome TT intake hard pipes
SSQV BOV's
HKS Hiper Exhaust System
AMZ stainless steel Divorced Downpipes
Greddy Turbo Timer with Harness
Z1 Mototsports ECU upgrade
Nismo 555cc Fuel Injector kit

Considering a z31 spools a journal bearing t25 at about 2800RPM and a stock z32 with DP's spools about the same, I would say 3k RPM to hit 15psi with a set of t25's ain't bad. Check for boost leaks, ohm the injectors, check the fuel filter, check for corroded connectors, ohm the coil packs, check the plugs, run the codes, check the timing...etc

Just an update in case anyone else has this issue I found the bolts that secure the coil pack had vibrated out so it was not getting a full connection and 1 of the spark plugs had oil on it from when the turbo blew.

Will update again tomorrow if replacing the spark plug fixes it

Securing the coil pack and replacing the 1 spark plug resolved the issue. Thanks for the input fellas!
