Ok I have went through everything I can think of...... when I turn the my car off and take the keys out it keeps running...... just put a new ignition switch in didn't help.... any ideas...all dash lights ,gauges ect. shut down but still have power to the motor

now there's a different problem.
most ppl can't get their car started and you can' seem to shut it off. lol

 

Yeah I know ut took me2 months to get it goin now it won't shut down.. I thought it was the turbo timer so I took it out didn't work... runs great except for the fact that I have to kill it to shut it down!!!!!

 

I dunno if Z's have the same issue but we would run in to this problem with our trucks in the Army. It was called "after run" or "run over" by our mechanics and it was caused by the throttle body being dirty. It's somewhere to start at any rate.
