Alright so i was just wondering if anybody could bounce some ideas off about what maybe wrong with my tranny. Coming out of first into 2nd gear there's a very hard bad vibration then it shifts and it wont shift untill 4500 rpms any suggestions? (my brainstorm is that maybe the band for first gear is stretched or worn out or shift module is going bad)

 

Have you performed the AT self diagnostic procedure? good place to start.

Does your TPS and voltage check out? It has an influence on shift points.

Have you checked the electrical connections located above the passenger wheel well?

RE: vibration

Have you checked the tranny mount, Drive shaft joints, and especially the Center Carrier Bearing?

Those are some of the easy things to check.

 

Its an auto, right? Did you check your fluid level??

 

i have not checked all that but my cousin told me to get a fluid and filter change and it might help out with it.

yes it is and auto and the fluid levels are fine lol i just not sure what it is

 

come to find out it was the tq converter the whole time
