new Z owner question

Just bought a Fairlady and noticed that the batt light comes on randomly and sometimes when i try to put the a/c or heat a hear squeeling sound. If i turn it off it stops. Just wondering if it will be the alt/battery or terminals and should i replace the timing belt?

Thanks
Beto

maybe, start with cleaning and tightening the alternator and a/c belts. then check and clean the wire connections from the alternator and battery terminals.

^^ What CC said. How many miles on the car? and do you know when the timing belt was last replaced? My personal opinion is to replace the timing belt first thing when you take ownership of a not new car, unless you have proof that it was already done recently.

Congrats on the Z and welcome!
