Not a True Noob...=) OldSchool
Hey all,
Well my name on here use to be 94EmeraldZ but I'm sure the mod's deleted due to inactivity.
I'll make this short...
For 3 years owned a 1994 Black Emerald Z NA, internals/bolt-on's etc, fun car, but I wouldnt spend the money again =) If I got another NA only I/E and jus drive her.
Sold it for a 1990 ZR1 Corvette. Was a blast.
Sold it for a 2004 Town Home lol. =)
Everytime I think of another toy... it's always a Z. So I'm on the prowl again for one.
You can see my old Z and motor if you search in yahoo "1994 Black Emerald 300zx pictures". Motor pics too.
Looking forward to finding and re-learning and re-loving the Z community. No one is like'em!
Thanks
Griff
PS- Rizz you still here?!

Welcome back! We've deleted some inactive users over the past few years, but most were accounts with 0 posts. Anyway, indeed welcome back. It seems there have been quite a few Z32's for sale lately, so hopefully you'll find a goodie soon.
And Rizz is still around, though I think he's pretty busy lately.

Back in April I had we were still in the search for a town home lol. I am in no rush, the first Z I had although was fun, was way too expensive in keeping up because it had given up on me lol.
SO I am waiting for the Z I want. A black or CRP 92+ TT. Leather. As stock as possible. Bolt-on's won't bother me.
She will be mine...oh she will be mine.
SHWING!

I'm a turboed 240Z owner, now.
I'll have a Z32 again sometime soon... the black one was just falling apart on me.

Most parts are certainly cheaper (new original stock stuff gets expensive as ****, though - original "DATSUN" fender emblems sell for $100 if you can find NOS ones), but most hardcore performance stuff has to be fabricated because there is hardly any aftermarket.
For example, the downpipe was only $99... but it's not split flange because nobody in the L28ET world apparently knows the benefits of a split flange downpipe. There is no bolt-on exhaust, so I'll have to have that custom made. Same with intercoolers - there aren't any kits for this application, but it will be cheaper for me to buy a universal FMIC and a piping kit than it is to just buy a set of Z32 intercoolers. Most upgrades come from other cars... back then, a lot of stuff was carried over between models. Since the hubs and differentials are interchangeable, my rear disc conversion comes from a 1984 Z31 NA and a 1989 240SX. When I upgrade to a limited slip differential, there are bolt-in R200s from later Zs. All in all, it would be far less expensive to make this car as fast as my Z32 (if I chose to do so), and it wouldn't need nearly as much horsepower to do it, since it's a thousand pounds lighter.
