Paint Job Progress!

So I finally have got myself motivated enough to paint my car! So today I went out and did all the body work. Well all the preliminary body work. We'll see how good it was when I block it out after primer tomorrow!

Also check my wanted ad as I am in need of a gas door and side mirrors.

Anyways here are a few pictures for ya'll!

Looking good so far! I am on the tail end of painting my 300ZX back to Aztec Red as someone had a Maaco paint job done to it and did a color change with out painting the jams and such so it had a maroon to red transition everywhere.

Not sure if your door handles have the same problem mine had but before painting, but I had to tweak them back to shape otherwise the handle would rub the paint on the handle surround and thus the new paint would have started to show signs of wear on the brand new paint job.

What color are you painting the car?

Right on I can't wait to get some color on this thing! The color will be Kh2 which is the Dark Charcoal pearl color. It was the factory color and I am just redoing it for basically the same reasons as yours... someone painted it and did a crappy job. I was hoping to get it painted tonight, but I am not rushing it so I am getting it all blocked perfectly tonight!

The car has color! I sprayed it yesterday! I still have to paint the fenders today and the ttops and mirrors but otherwise I am going to color sand and buff this thing to a mirror!

Here is a little update. It's been a little while, but I decided to get some pictures up of the car. Everything minus mirrors.
