lol lol haha good typo. almost as good as the one snw just did a couple days ago that i can't remember.

but yeah, there's a good chance of that. i think what it is is that this guy has been doing it for a long time, so he's a pro with the older cars, but he hasn't been working on the z32's as much, but he just automatically assumes he's a pro on them too. i don't know. i still will let him do my sub frame bushings lol

I think he can handle things that are easy to see. Like Bushings. But when it comes the engine work, or things that might seem complicated, I would ask here first. Trust a mechanic as far as you can throw them.

They are just people man. People screw up. People that think they know instead of asking questions are the first ones to screw up.

That was an epic typo there SNw. Good stuff. I will be laughing over that for a while. lmao

Wow... that is pretty bad. And insufferable grammar and punctuation, at that! ;p

Just looked at that thread... OMG I'm so disappointed in this forum.

15 posts and 4 hours and 22 minutes past before anyone caught it.

Back to the subject at hand... seriously, what shop is this that is telling you that PS fluid won't hurt the PS system? I want to know so that I can recommend against them (or at least so that I know not to recommend them).

Here's another knowledgeable person basically telling another guy that PS fluid in the PS system will cause damage...

If people were to obey the first philosophical imperative (to not speak about things of which they have no knowledge), then nobody would ever be wrong. Claiming to have knowledge that one does not have ultimately results in a situation of this sort.

Philosophy sucks.

Questions with no answers.

Screw that.

haha

It would be nice if there was a world where no one was ever wrong huh?
But you gotta take the bitter to appreciate the sweet.
Thank God this world isn't perfect.

rtmorgan - how did you get on? Found a fix? There is also an electronic box that controls power steering effort so don't over look that one. Let me know if you need details.

I was wondering if you fixed it but I may have missed a post where you said you had
There is a power steering controller located below the ECU which takes various inputs from the hand brake, foot brake, clutch pedal, shift selector, speed sensor, etc and varies the amount of effort to turn the wheel given certain conditions.

The faster you go, the harder to turn basically.

If he's referring to the speed sensitive steering solenoid which controls steering impact based on speed, that's on the driver's side of the steering rack visible from underneath the car.
