Regret
Which part/s do you wish you had never purchased?
And/or
Which part was the most useless or ineffective part you've ever purchased?
The part I wish I had never purchased is the hood.
The vent is little too much for my taste and in the picture it didn't look as massive...
Oh well.
When my baby was still a n/a, I would have to say the exhaust was the most ineffective part. It made some aggresively loud sounds, but it seriously lacked any punch or even a hint of woomph behind the noise.

TurboXs RFL Blow Off Valves. BOV's are generally useless when you have recirculation valves, but the RFL's were seriously too loud. I only had them for a year and I was much happier with the HKS SSQV's when I had them (they were stolen). The RFL's were cool at first because they seriously are loud... but the coolness fades.

Bastards... May them never sleep for thousand hours.
The HKS unit sounds the best imo. Well, out of the ones I've heard anyway. Those are HKS, Greddy, Apexi, Turbo XS and Tiel, and yeah those Turbo XS bov are very loud.

tial is the best sounding BOV imho and probably the best company out there for BOV's
me.... the fart cans i tried to replace the other mufflers that were on my Z32... not cause they were canister, but because i did it myself so they weren't symetrical haha. the other mufflers were seriously straight off a camaro or something, loud with think rectangular tips. but the cans werent even a step up because i apparently blow at exhaust work haha.

i bought a used head for $100 off ebay cause i thought i needed one of the cams. i wish i'd have thought that one through for a while before i bought it....
zlover, someone stole the BOV's right off your car on the street? that's crazy.

Crutchfield sold me some damned wiring harness adapter that was SUPPOSED to be mandatory for installing the cheap *** head unit I bought....come to think of it, considering that stupid CD player blew out my Bose factory speakers in a week I think I regret that the most.

No, the Eric with the Sapphire Blue 2+2 just broke my girlfriend's pelvis by driving like a douche with her in the car.
The guy I think did it was another guy I once considered a friend... he was a kleptomaniac and had a similar-sounding BOV on his turbo Escort shortly after. I cut contact with that entire group of friends shortly after - they were going nowhere in life and they were trouble, in general.

I haven't bought anything useless for my Z yet since I'm still putting it back to original condition.. i'd say the Magnaflows because I coulda hve gone stock.. but the car had no exhaust when I got it.
Actually, the tires. I put some cheapos on to pass inspection just to take them off for winter tires. Then when the winter is over I'm going to 18" rims so the snowtires will go into storage with the stock rims. So yeah, the tires were the most useless.
On all my cars the most useless thing I bought were some sparkplugs for my 2006 Monte Carlo. They were OEM quality but I got them at 35,000 miles thinking I would be changing them within the next 30,000 but when I read the manual even in severe driving they weren't due until 150,000 miles. Must have been because of the VVT. Eitherway I sold the car before 60,000 miles ANYWAY and are therefor the most useless items I ever bought for one of my cars.
Most useless item I ever sold for a car was a stock style carbon fiber hood for a Mitsu EVO Lancer. I don't know how many times i told the dumb bastard that the carbon fiber weighed more than the stock hood.

Slide into a tree on the passenger's side while taking a bend on Bell Road in Homer Glenn. He walked away without a scratch, she was confined to her bed for a month and still has pain while walking when it's cold out due to the pin in her pelvis. Funny how the driver usually walks away fine but the passenger's suffer when the cause of the accident is poor driving... I never saw Eric drive like a human being (always got the back end loose while leaving meets, etc).

Edge Racing Testpipes, Poor fitament, leaked where they connected to my HKS Exhaust even after having a Muffler shop re-align and put new gaskets in, and will have driven less than 3000miles on them b4 replacing them with Specialty Z Testpipes (upgrading downpipes)

I'm planning to paint the hood when I paint the rest of the car, but the problem I have is the shape itself. In the advertisement the vent didn't look as large and tall. It just to big for my likings.

Yup. Sure can. Probably the biggest regret in this thread homie.
Well... Except for my hood.

What are the reasons, except for fitment issue, for BB sucking *****? I've only known one person with the said exhaust and I never heard him complaining about the exhaust. He went from Greddy PE to BB to achieve the stock look. We couldn't notice any difference in performance from the previous exhaust but it sounds really nice. I would really appreciate your input because I was thinking about making the BB purchase, so I would like to know what makes them so sorry.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Poor manufacturing leading to poor fitment at a ridiculously high price isn't enough for you to look elsewhere? LOL
They don't fit well.
They don't perform as well as the $590 HKS Hi-Power nor the Specialty Z exhausts.
The welding on the ones I've seen was shoddy at best.
Did I mention that they start at about $1200 and don't fit well?
For that kind of money, it better fit perfect and be the BEST performer... but it's neither of those things.
When it comes to an exhaust and any performance mod, form follows function. The function is helping exhaust gasses escape, and the form should follow that. This is why Specialty Z and HKS Hi-Power have almost no bends - less restriction. B&B was too busy making a nice sounding exhaust that looks pretty (after you drill out the bolt holds to get it to sit right), instead of making it perform like it should.
