Because you would be adding about $10k to a car that had a base price of about $38k back in the early 90's.

Because it's hideous.

And because the car weighs enough already.

All the above is true..but its so unique..it does look a little off in the back but its the 1st car to have a retractable hard top in the early 90s.

because a 300zx isnt a camaro or a mustang.. its something that aspires beyond that, and making a convertible version is begging to bring in the wrong crowd. Only roadsters and supercars look good with convertible tops. T-tops speak from the heart =) and look way better on the Z. And the only reason the 350/370Z's look good with convertible, is because they might as well be considered roadsters, They arent ZX's you know.

^ The convertible 300ZX is a thing of beauty. (You know they made such a thing, right?) Retractable hardtops like that look like ****, though.

One actually sold on eBay I believe. It was a prototype that found it's way into someones hands.

i dunno Zlove4Life, I guess in different states and city's preferences are different.. here in my town Convertibles are cool on some cars: (audi's, Z's, Porsches, old muscle cars, New 5.0's etc). But almost all convertible vehicles here are 94-02 V6 camaros and mustangs being driven by wreckless driving southies in 22- 24" heavy chrome wheels. and the funny thing is that the wheels and tires are worth more than the car.

now i wouldnt have a problem with it if it wasnt for these kids causing havoc. but nontheless, I think T-tops look alot better on these cars simply because of the style of it.

also living next to the equator @110F-118F with 60 humidity is also why id prefer T's.
