Hey, i havent wrote in a while, but thanks for all the help evryone with that lengthly list of problems, i have got most of the fixed for the most part, but since it has gotten cold lately (that may not have anything to do with it) my Z has been screaching at startup for a second and it screeches when i accelerate, atleast it does until the car is completely warmed up! i cant tell where the sound is coming from, its SO LOUD!!! so i have no idea where to start. if anyone has had anything similar to this, help would be GREATLY appreciated! thanx

 

see your accesory belts. I had the Exact same problem a while ago. mine where worn out so I replaced them with Nissan belts for liek 30$ and about 30 mins of labor. but first make sure your belts are properly tensioned. if not. well tension them if it persist just replace them. it should go away. it's not hard.

 

^^^ what he said. You could have some oily build up on there also. If tightening them doesn't work then you can spray various cleaners on them. I've used simple green. Others have used brake cleaner and similar products.

 

if they doesnt work, you might need a new belt tensioner

 

Not for an accessory belt. The tensioner is only used on the timing belt. Timing belts don't screech....in any car.
