Why would someone do that(other than novelty I guess)? It would be about the same amount, or less, getting the stock motor to 500whp as it would to buy, swap, and mod an SR20.

i saw something similar to that once on ebay where someone stupidly put a
z31 engine in a z32. at least this one seems to actually start and run lol.

yes, but it would weigh less, you could put it back farther thus better stability. Teh car is obviosuly a auto X car.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. Still seems like the benefits aren't worth the cost though.

inline sixes seem alot more susectable (SP?) to mods in my xp with modding cars as well. Dunno why, maybe it's all in my head.

I think I know whta youre trying to say, and its true. inline motors are easier to work on, mod, and work with in general. Face it, the VG SUCKS to work on!

that or just not put it in a z32... it would be different if they put the rb25 in a Z31 though.

Nissan put an SR20 in one of their 350Z race cars. i guess the SR was cheaper to get up there in power than a VQ and then there's the weight thing.

The SR20 is just a good turbo engine.

you've probably all seen a couple of them in the S30 Z's

yeah i have to admit an SR is a good motor, the only thing that sucks is that the head design is horrible. other than that its a pretty good motor. i wish nissan would have gave it the bullet proof bottom end that the VG has, then i woudl consider getting my 4th SR lol. never the less upgrade on project Skyvia is coming Along great. My RB gets here next week. motor mounts are soon ariving as well. electric fans are in, radiator is here, Exhaust, Down pipe, all here. FMIC is here. just gotta get the motor in to fab up the piping. =]

so... what was the deal with nissan and the RB motor only being a 2.6 litre??? i mean... its smaller than the 280z motors? and at the same time with the supra out being a 3.0 and the 300zx being a 3.0 and there damn 240sx even 2 less cylinders and only .4 litre displacement difference? WHY GOD WHY!?!?!?!?!?
