SR20 in a Z32?
my buddy has a 95 N/A base and he wants to put an SR20 motor swap in it, we found some on youtube but he was wondering if we would run into problems, motor mounts wrong size stuff like that.

you have to remember that the Z32 is a heavy car and the SR20det is a 2.0 liter and even turboed would still be lacking the torque a VG30DETT has so you might want to take that into consideration. just saying

Tell your buddy to just stick with the vg30de, at least he'll have a little bit of tourqe...Unless he is going for the "Hey look at that, a four cylinder in a v6 car wow factor..He will dump more cash into the sr20det (that cost more than a vg30dett longblock) and still never have the power or torque that the vg motor puts out, tell him to put his big boy pants on and do the TT swap or a RB, V8 swap. Putting a 4 cylinder in a z is pretty much bitch slappin it...Just my 2cents..

If your friend really wants to do a swap on it tell him to do a 2JZ motor from a supra or like another guy on here said an RB sswap. I would personally stick with a VG30DETT because its the original motor and you can get more speed cheaper than doing an SR20 swap. Theres my 2 cents.

I had a customer ask me about something like this the other day, i about crapped my pants laughing so hard.
But in all fairness I wasnt laughing at HIM, i know the guy and he's just getting into cars. So when people are always chattin about SRs, whats a guy supposed to think.
While we're at it we should swap a Honda B16 into a Corvette, it'd be JDM tyte dawg
