With your specific color demand... you will prolly be looking for a long time. Did you look in our Marketplace? https://www.zdriver.com/forums/classifieds-wanted-sale-marketplace-68/

I'd have to say that owning a '96 wouldn't bother me at all. We had this discussion, remember? The VVT was taken out, but at the same time the cams were upgraded, right? Anyways, that'd be my ideal color, too, but that's extremely hard to find. In fact, I don't even know if they produced the purple ones for the U.S. market. I've only seen one purple one for sale, and it was JDM. Then, you have paint issues to worry about. Painting one's easy enough in text, but in truth a true paint job that involves stripping the car down, repainting all of the panels and then reassembling it would cost over 5,000 dollars. It's never perfect if you don't paint it right.

and goofyz has my answer right now. but, if i had to choose, i would like to get the newest z i possibly can. other factors may keep me from doing that(condition, miles etc.). but i would take a 96 if i had the chance. i dont plan on going past 500hp with one anyways
