What have others done about cup holders

Hello all.
After a 11 hiatus, I am back driving a 300ZX again. I just purchased a very nice all black 1991 2+2 5 SPD with 36K original miles. Absolutely gorgeous and in original condition with the exception of the stereo, air filter and window tint.

I want to be able to put my morning coffee in a cup holder but don't want to fasten one to the center console with screws. Currently I take the ash tray out and use that spot for my coffee. Anybody else found an acceptable way to hold a beverage or two without using screws or anything else that would damage the otherwise like new interior?
Thanks in advance.

I do the same. I've heard there is an insert where the ashtray goes that makes a real cupholder. possible makes a spot for 2 cups. It might be some JDM thing. I'm not sure nor have I ever seen one. Let us know if you find anything.

Winner. Driving a sports car is an activity in itself. Leave cup holders for the boring sedans and SUV's during long trips.

Thanks... this is was I was looking for. Easy to remove. My Z is going to be a three season daily driver and I NEED my morning coffee so a cupholder is necessary and I get to remove it the moment I get to work.

As long as it has a lid on it, I place it between my side and the arm rest -- it doesnt go anywhere!!

S13's in japan had a DIN pocket cup holder you can find it on 240sx forums all day for like 20-30$ or you can get it new for like 50. mynismo.com has them i believe.
