white smoke issue
I have an issue that I need some light shed on...
While stopped at a red light I noticed white smoke coming from underneath the sides of the car. Drove the car home and looked under it to see if there was an obvious spot it was coming from and no luck. Popped the hood and it was coming from towards the back of the engine. The smoke has a sweet smell to it...so I'm leaning towards a bad head gasket.
There is no coolant leaking, oil is good, car doesn't overheat, and runs fine. I got the car with full maintenance records and it shows a good compression test just over a year ago. Any ideas?
Thanks

Could be a Bad hose leaking on the Exhaust.. Don't know if you've noticed, it's a little Tight behind the motor.. and they put LITTLE hoses back there..
need to hunt further..
As long as the Smell is not OUT the tailpipe, your good..

I had the same problem with my 90 300zx it turned out to be a very small hose in the middle section in back of the block towards the lower intake manifold. It's about 2 1/2 inches long and a pain to get out and replace. I guess pressure builts up and it leaks a little bit onto the exhaust causing it to smoke.
