z32 n/a auto gas milage and other ?s
I am selling my CJ7 to buy another car, one that runs and gets better gas milage, and after being disappointed by an MR2 (well acutally not the MR2 but the owner sold it before I could get the cash, but he did get 3 times what he told me he wanted for it so good for him.) I ran across a nice z32.
It is a 1993 N/A Auto with just under 100k for $4000. I haven't ran a complete carfax on it, but I do believe it is a theft recovery. From the pictures, it looks good and seems like either it was stolen a long time ago and had been worked on since, or it was just a joy ride. Either way, $4000 doesn't sound bad for a Z, espically a z32, and I've always liked the Zs, well up until the z33.
My question is, what kind of gas milage should I suspect from this car? Obviously it will be better than my CJ, but with it taking prem. gas and thats just over $2/gal here I want to be sure I can afford it. I saw somewhere eariler that the 96 TT sticks got 18/24, and if an N/A auto got that or greater, I would be happy.
Bad part is, I will need to sell the Jeep first, should be done in a few days, and then talk my bank into loaning me the rest, and I don't know if they will on a 11 year old car thats just $4000, and then I'll have to pay full coverage insurance, and what not.
I am 18, no tickets, no wrecks, but no drivers ed nor academic discounts. I believe my insurance was around $125/month on my old 87 Supra Turbo, and is a bit higher on the CJ, but both liability, so I expect my insurance would be about double on the 300zx. Can anybody also give me any ideas here?
Thanks guys, and hopefully I can own one of these bad boys. And then I can laugh at the kid who got my old supra and then dumped it for a z31 when I have a z32.

My advice to you, is not to get a Premium only car untill the gas goes down. I only drive my Z pretty much on weekends right now, and the Bike during the week. I love 40 miles to the gallon, but i dont like 6$6 to fill up a 2 gallon tank.

My car was a Theft Recovery. The only problem ive had is a bad flooding situation and my alternator and battery went. The flooding got straightened out after i in stalled nissan plugs, and startign got much better after the new battery and alternator.
