z32 upgraed ?

one of the members in zextreme has a z32 n/a and he wants to ethier change it to a tt or just make it **** fast. will the computer of a tt plug in to a n/a and work?

It would be a stupid swap.

Think about it. VG30DETT has a compression ratio of 8.5:1 to accomidate for the turbo's. The VG30DE has a compression ratio of 10.5:1. The computer is going to bring air/fuel in accordingly. So if you bolt in a VG30DETT ECU/M up to a VG30DE wiring harness and drivetrain. It will lower your power.

One thing you can do is this. Find a wrecked Infiniti Q45 at a junk yard. Yank the MAF (Mass Air Flow meter) out of it. If you dont know what the MAF is:
Remove the centerpeice between the headlights, you see the black cylinder with a cord extending from it? Has an orange label on the side. Thats the MAF.

You can swap the Q45 (VH45DE) MAF out with the VG30DE MAF, and the computer will safely bring in more air. 1.5litre's bigger. Get some TT injectors, Injen Intake sytem, Stillen headers, a cat-back system, and last but not least, an upgraded ECU/M from Stillen... Dinan... Whatever floats thy boat.

You could ask 91zxtt how he likes his Dinan chip.

Also I can get you an Apex'i rev/speed limiter. Allows you to tune your rev limits, and speed limits to your liking. Will cut quarter mile times, and top speed times. For $137.95

If you want to go TT swap. Your talking to the right guy.

Let me know what your going to do. If you want go TT swap, it will be a very fast Z. Or if not, just do what was originally listed, and the HP will be drastically increased. Nicely too. Let us know how it goes man.

ok so if he wants to tt convert then we can get it all thuro you right? and will the harness be the same as the na personaly i think he should just make this one fast and nice and just buy a kik *** tt. but its his ride so you ya know what i mean.

Wiring harness between tt and na are different. They're almost completely different vehicles. You'll want a whole front clip as opposed to just an engine and tranny. Lots of little parts and miscellaneous hardware that you'll need from a clip that you'll be hardpressed to find elsewhere.

3 things...

1) Dinan doesn't make ECU upgrades for the Z32 anymore. They are exclusively BMW now.
2) If I had it to do all over again, I'd use the ASHSPEC ECU offered through Z1 Motorsports.
3) When I get around to it, I'm changing over to the ASH unit.

Is that chip not that great that you want the Ash now?
What's the difference?

Yes we can supply everything you will need for the swap.

The clip incudes EVERYTHING.

-VG30DETT engine
-Transmission of your choice
-ECU/M
-Wiring
-Proper mounts, brackets, accesories etc etc

Plus, most of our clips come with aftermarket tid bits (i.e intake systems, intercoolers, etc etc.)

I'll get the ASH chip soon. The install of the boost jets seemed 'odd' compared to what I've seen elsewhere. Plus, after i installed it, I really didn't feel much of a difference. It didn't seem to run any more boost either. My friend, who works at DINAN, said he could definitely feel the difference when he rode in the car, but 60 HP should be enough to not leave anyone in doubt about whether or not something is performing properly. I noticed more of a kick out of the intake.
