Well after posting a long time ago i paid over 2,300 dollars to have a new waterpump new power steerin pump new alternator new front an rear main seals. Well the story goes like this

I was in portales new mexico at work .. from 4:00 pm till 10:00 pm. I was on my way home when all of a sudden my car started jerking badly all my lights started to come on i was too far away from home to just pull over and call of a ride i dont have any body to depend on . So i just drove 25 plus miles home ..

I didnt know the harmonic balancer shim busted off and the main boltpulled out. i drove home on sure power left from my optima battery . I drove my car to the nissandealership to whom last worked on my car.

I got a phone call from nissan yesterday 680 dollars to fix my car. " just the crank puly " harmonic balancer " bolt and shim. plus new belts.

Sounds like there is a bunch of rocks inside a tin can when my car is started. i was told i have spun bearings.

I have a choice they offered me... 800 dollars trade in value

I am thinking about letting the car sit a year or 2 to save up enough money for a twin turbo swap.

I honestly belive the dealership has something to do with this... if any one wants to help me out please go to www.yellowpages.com " clovis , new mexico 88101 " and type in " Bender honda nissan " an make some rude comments for the sake of all z people out there i need your help to help me out.

I have contacted the BBB an make a report. But who knows.

Does any one have any knowledge on the best place to TT swap ? i know i can buy all the parts from z1 motor sports. 5,000.00 that will be my next years tax money.

 

or you could just take that $5k and buy a tt already modded and nice and not finicky at all like your car would be after a swap. $5k won't even get you a lot of the parts like the new wheels and clutch booster and all if you care about any of that. i'm tired of telling people that story though.

you need to get a second opinion on those bad bearings. unless you ran it out of oil or beat the hell out of it, you shouldn't just start hearing your crank slap one day. did you loose oil pressure? put a light weight oil in? there are plenty of things to make strange sounds.

 

If they did your water pump, they pulled off the crank pulley and its there fault. They probably didnt torque it enough or something.

The bolt just doesnt shoot off Id go after them.
