3.2L kit
#3
the only 3.2 kit i know of is the JUN unit. thats a $10k set. I dont kow of anyone who has done it and personnaly i would love to try it since i am keepin my car NA. Which leads me to one key point, if u do go with the JUN unit, it is designed for the tt cars. Which will mean that the pistons are wrong for your application and you ll be spending more money. Why not do some research and have a custom kit made, jun posts all the specs for rod length etc etc on their site. You could pproach EAGLE and they could machine you a set of rods and you could special order a set of high compression pistons for the bore size you want.
While we are on the subjest, I have been wonderin what is the difference between the VG30s and the VG33 in the pathfinders and Xteras. Is it a bore difference or stoke?

So we know that increasing the bore size by 4.5 mm will give us 3.3L.......
vg33e.....Bore & Stroke (mm).........91.5 x 83.0
vg30de...Bore & Stroke (mm)......... 87 X 83.0
JSPECZ32............ if you look back thru some of my older posts, you'll find an american company that'll provide you with a stroker kit built to your specs for something like $5k..... I can't remember the name.

I have done some research on this and there is more than just JUN making these kits. Tomei and Escort also makes pistons for this application. But Escorts pistons are cast and sell $500 for the set. Race Engineering also has a piston kit too and they are running around $700 for a set of pistons and rings. Still going to keep the same stroke on the engine just upgrade to new rods.

fwiw, I've been reading up on the vg33.............. it is just a bored out vg30. Looks like all of the cast and machined features are the same, complete vg series discontinued in '03. s/c version only existed from '01 to '03, or so.
