Welcome to ZDriver!
Well, there aren't any question marks at the end of your sentences, so they look like statements...
The questions should be "WHICH SKYLINE ENGINE SHOULD I USE?" followed by: "HOW DO I FIT THAT SKYLINE ENGINE INTO A 300ZX?"
Stock? Do a google search for RB26DETT / RB25DETT. Google is your friend.
That depends on what motor you use and how much money you have.

Why would you want to use a skyline motor? the VG30DETT is at least as capable as any of the RBs. The only real reason to put an RB in a z32 is for "OMG I GOTZ A SKYLINE MOTOR" ricer cred. Nobody likes ricers.
And why do you think you need 1000hp? A 600hp z32 will outperform a 1000hp everywhere except on the dyno. Dyno queens are lame.
On a side note, as a former member of the military I suggest saving your money while you are in. If you resist the urge to piddle away your pay on frivilous items you'll be way ahead of the game when you get out. I've seen way too many people in the military get themselves in WAY too deep, and it gets pretty ugly.

second ^^^^ i got a buddy straight out of the military as an MP with no job. trying to become an EMT and just not happening. passed everything and licensed just can't get a job another was a marines heavy machine operator and is a truck driver. it's hard out there. be careful. and 600hp is a hard but realistic goal to achieve and if done right is very good feeling. to things in baby steps.
