Hi all. I'll start by saying I am terribly excited and a nervous wreck!

The vehicle is clean. It's not 100% but 85 - 90% perfect. The motor runs very nicely but I have some concerns. I do not know what to look for so a lot of these things I am seeing now that I have it at home may not out of the ordinary.

1. During *** kicking acceleration the motor "roars". I actually find it to be a quite loud. Is it normal for the to be loud? Is this normal?

2. The car idles with relative normalcy. I did notice that it started idling around 2500 for a about 10 minutes until I turned the car off and back on. Once retarted it idles around 750 - 1200 give or take. What should the vehicle idle at if healthy?

3. The heater is not working. Could I be lucky enough that this is a known issue and easily rectified? Any ideas?

A1. The NAs are pretty loud cars, and the "roar" your refering to is normal.

A2. My NA does the same thing, when you start it on a cold start, it will start up and idle at like 2200-2500 RPM until it warms up, and then it idles just fine. Don't know what causes it, doesn't seem to be a big prob, so unless your really worried about it, it shouldn't be anything serious to fret about.

congrats. welcome to the Z world. that roar is, as was stated, normal. there is not really anything in the way of sound dampening in these cars. i love it, car sounds mean as hell when you get on it, very satisfying. every NA i have been in idles high for a bit before it warms up.
