ok i took apart the 1984 300zx turbo engine and i belive its the same idea as the z32 basicaly all i did was unbolt the bolt that holds the harmonic ballencer on and used a t rod fork to " gently" pry out the harmonice ballencer.. i know theres a puller i can buy and i did buy one. i plan on getting my 300zx water pump done on my next two days off when every the first comes around

I pulled mine with a harmonic wheel balancer puller that I've had for years. Once again, go ahead and change the timing belt, or at least remove it before you pull the water pump, otherwise your timing belt will be soaked with coolant. I did my timing belt on my '90 2+2 a while ago. Changed the water pump, tensioner, belts, hoses, etc. I got the water pump from NAPA. The water pump didn't last 50 yards! The flange that the mechanical clutch fan mounted to was machined wrong! Wiped out the WP bearings, which soaked the new timing belt with new coolant. I then bought a NISMO WP and did the job all over again! <FROWN> It didn't take nearly as long the second time! <LOL>
I need to do the timing belt on my '93 NA 2+0 now! At least I have plenty of practice! <LOL>
