96 tt should I modify suspension?

Ground Control coilovers.

They replace your springs and allow adjustable ride height.
You'll also need front and rear camber arms, else you will RAPIDLY wear through your tires.

And by the way, most people don't deem the stock adjustable struts to be enough reason to keep the OEM suspension...

People, don't respond if you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Yes, you'd retain the ability to use the stock electronic sport/touring controls if you got the Ground Control kit (those are just springs and collars that go on the stock shocks). You would only lose it if you changed the shocks themselves, which is not necessary for the Ground Control kit.

More than one option.
Just put Ebiach springs on the OEM shocks. I think they lower 0.8 inch in front and 1.0 inch in the back (correct me if I'm wrong). They provide a slightly stiffer ride and are pretty easy to install. You might even be able to get them from ebay, but get the name brand ones, don't go cheap. It sounds like you want something you don't want to have to adjust or mess with much. This is the easiest way. Ground control also an option but slightly more complicated as they are adjustable.

Guess I should of clicked the link and seen that they are not coilovers like mentioned, but just springs..... That's what I get for assuming I guess.
Yes you would still be able to use the sport touring switch if you just replace the springs like z love said...
personally, I run KYB AGX struts that are adjustable, but usually leave them set to the same setting 99% of the time.
I have seen tein coil overs in a 350z that were adjustable from the cab... I assumed they were very expensive, but I'm sure they ahve something like that for the z32 as well.
But on a main note... who cares what your friends say... are you happy with the car's looks and handling??

2nd on Tein... their EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) is an in-cockpit control unit that works with certain Tein shocks. But then you're spending over $1500 to get the EDFC + Tein shocks that work with it.
As I said in my first post, most people don't consider the stock shocks good enough to warrant going through all this hassle... but I still think the Ground Control kit is the best option if you want to retain the stock electronic suspension.
Also as I said, do not forget camber arms. I lowered my car without camber arms and in only about 500 miles of driving, the inner part of all four tires was completely worn despite having good tread on the rest of it. Going from a stock Z to a lowered Z is expensive - don't think you can do the drop first and get the camber arms later... you'll end up replacing tires unnecessarily early if you do.
