Actual Horsies?

I was just wondering if the 222hp rating on the Z NA was bhp, or just at the engine.

fyi: bhp = brake horsepower = 222 factory spec

Definition: The measure of an engine's horsepower without the loss in power caused by the gearbox, generator, differential, water pump and other auxiliaries. The actual horsepower delivered to the driving wheels is less.

RWHP = Rear Wheel Horse Power = 170 - 215 depending on mods

no. read the above definition. horsepower is lost through the accessories, drivetrain, pumps etc. for example, if you were to measure at the flywheel, you would get value A. then that power would have to travel through the drivetrain, and during that process, it will expeience some loss (B) because the drivetrain components have mass, and it takes energy (horsepower) to move mass. then you measure at the wheels for value C. A-B=C=rwhp. car manufacturers advertise bhp for the same reason sereo component manufacturers advertise peak power instead of RMS power, people tend to like big numbers.
