I have an 93 NA 2+2 auto trans. Is it possible to convert it to a manual trans? I am probably going to do the tt engine swap, so I figured I would convert to a manual too if possible. I already know its going to cost a S**T load of money and Im not worried about that. I just need to to know if it is possible to convert a auto trans to a manual trans.

 

ive got an auto, and when it comes time to get a tougher tranmission, im gonna get a level 10 automatic. check it out. I really kinda like having an auto. It makes you stick out from the crowd.

well i hate to admit it but...the auto's have a more aggressive low end than the 5spds i raced my buddy the other day he has a 93 n/a auto and he took me off the line but i caught him once i hit 3rd and double clutched...haha that was awsome anyways autos are nice espacialy in traffic but i love my 5spds when it come to open roads....its all in what the driver likes. It is possable to do the conversion; but your going to have to get a new trany, a new clutch, drill a hole where the slave cylinder goes for the clutch, and well there is alot more to it also...it can be done it just takes for damn ever to do it...good luck with what ever you choose
