Re: B&B exhaust
I have the B&B 2-1/2" cat back system with the Quad Oval tips. I also have test pipes. I love the sound of hte system. It is also one of the best made systems I have seen. Plus it fits great with my WW rear bumper. The loudness factor I feel is over rated. It's alot louder than stock, but not as bad as people make it sound. I can't justify paying the "new" price for it, or any exhaust over $1000. I picked mine up used for $850, never regreted it.

Re: B&B exhaust
The system is sweet, but it's too loud for me, and the tips are very large if you go with the single tip style. I would still suggest the HKS Turbo system for you Kyle as you would love to hear it.
As for the B&B quad exhaust it's very loud, it does attract things such as cops...
The B&B Quad oval is around 1400$ too..

Re: B&B exhaust
Well kinda late now.
I picked up a set from Mike Kojima "SCC Project300zx" for $400 =)
Guess, I'll get to try them out.
John P.S. I have the HKS Turbo system on there now . It's good I just wanted to check out the B&B

Re: B&B exhaust
Give B&B a call and ask them about it - when I bought my first set (2.5" w/ quad 3" round tips) - I asked about the 3" system - and was told that it's not necessary unless I was making over 500 hp or something...
I do have a the 3" system now (sold my 2.5" system to Kyle P).

Re: B&B exhaust
3' piping is too much like you said, because it can create TOO MIUCH turbulance, not enough back pressure. Kyle, BnB exhaust is pretty much top of the line if you ask me, i have never delt with it, but my friend Tim, (OoeveroO) on tt.net who is selling his Z with 48k miles on it, has only put the best on his car, he installed himself and it sounds WONDERFUL. come to my tech day next saturday =c) he will be there so you can hear his =c)
