Bleeding the slave cylinder
yesterday i got in my car to go home from work, and i noticed i had a lot of play in my clutch, i only had like an inch or two of catch. and i noticed it was hard to get in first gear and reverse, but it got me home. this mourning i got in the car to go to work and i still didn't have much clutch, and it wouldn't go into any gear, so i checked my clutch fluid and it was low, so i refilled it, and it went into gear so i drove it to work, but it is still not the same i figured i might have to bleed the slave cylinder, but i haven't had the car for very long and i dont' know how to do this so if anyone has ever done this before some instructions would be very useful. any help is appreciated. thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Bleeding the slave cylinder
If it was low on fluid then you need to check for leaks. If you have some brake fluid in your floor board then it is you clutch master cylinder. You have to get under the car for the clutch slave. It has a bleeder valve on it but you will need someone to pump the clutch and hold it before you loosen the valve and let the air out. If those are ok and your fluid isn't leaking anywhere you might need a new clutch or throw out bearing.
