boost controller
Hi,
I'm also looking for a good boost controller.
Apexi AVCR is not that easy to control I heard.
Blitz should also be a very good one, but not so complex.
I also heard about Profec and EVC....
Which one is really good ?
I want to know a little bit about them before I buy one.
And do some of the boost controllers have a seperate boost button (to attach somewhere else) ?
thanks in advance

Re: boost controller
Here are some optoins:
APEXi AVC-R: Good boost controller, need experienced help tuning and setting it up, but the godo thing about it is that you can use it to cut boost in certain gears, the poor mans traction control, you can do a lot more also, plus the geek factor kicks in.
Greddy ProfecB - Very nice, Very easy, very good boost controller, no frills, no thrills, it just gets the job done
I have no idea on the new blitz though..

Re: boost controller
The Blitz SBC-iD is bad ***...I can't wait to get it installed. Check z32.org in the how-to section on installation. This thing is feature packed with some neat stuff. And when installed with the Powermeter-iD, you can set the boost according to speed of the car. So at lower speeds when you may spin tires, you can have a lower boost setting. And then you can have the boost pick up as you increase speed. It allows you to view everything in all the different boost units...psi, kg/cm^2, bar, etc. It has a graphical mode along with a digital mode. You can record and replay a run and check how the boost was during that run. You obviously can get peak readings as well. When used in conjunction with the Powermeter-iD, you can get all kinds of info like 0-50,0-100,0-200 times (in km I believe) along with 1/4 miles times and speed of the car. It also will give you horsepower readouts in a dyno graph. There's also an optional wiring harness that can be bought that will give you all kinds of important readouts like air/fuel ratio and injector duty cycle and some other things. I think it's the best setup out there.

GREDDY Profec A
Profec B + Fuzzy Logic = Pain in the butt
Didn't like the profec B, but the A is nice. Blitz ibc-D and other unit are very nice, and showy but not very accurate. Try a hard line boost controller. There is a cool one on ebay from JapAndy right now. Or if you want more info look in this months Sport Compact Car issue, they go over every boost controller on the market.
