Buying a '93 300Zx tt...mileage too high?
I'm purchasing a '93 300zx TT w/ 127k miles on it. Clutch/flywheel/starter have all been replaced within the last 1000miles, turbos replaced 15k miles ago, and 60k maintenance performed at 97k.
He's letting it go for $10k flat. Should I pass up this offer?

It really all depends on the car. It sounds like he did a lot of the major work. Even though he did the 60K service, he did it 30K miles ago. So it's going to be due soon anyway (4-5 yrs or 60K miles...whichever comes first). One thing to ask is if the turbos are "new" or "rebuilds". Rebuilding turbos is an exact science and not many can do it right. They usually leak rather quickly. If they are truly new (like from Nissan), then that's a good thing. They'll last longer than the car will most likely. None of us know the condition of the car though. So we can't really tell you if it's worth $10K or not. I'd say not since it's got 127K miles. But if it's truly in excellent condition, maybe it is. I'd have the car looked over by a good Z mechanic and find out what he thinks.
