Can it be the Alternator?
Aiight...check it. Back when my engine was running, i had a lil problem. when i was up between 40mpg and up, then i got on the brakes hard the revs would go all the way down and then the engine would cut off. only way i keep this frum happening was throw it into neutral during hard braking. my question is what would cause that??? is it the alternator?

Not likely the alternator... it's probably your intake or your IACV (Idle Air Control Valve). What kind of intake do you have?
To solve it (and I'm 99% sure this will do it), do this...

and raise your idle a little. My car would do it when the idle was set at ~750rpm; since I adjusted to 850, I haven't had the issue.

Clean your throttle bodies and raise your idle a little bit (there's an adjusting screw on the side of it, on the back of the plenum... get a long flathead and go at it from right by the brake master cylinder area).
I'm still sure it's not your alternator... if it were your alternator, your battery light would commonly come on at low rpms. I think your car is just choking for some reason.

i was talking to Cris at ultimate Z...he was telling me the it also could be my mass airflow sensor. he said this cause my lil plastic underbody is kinda f'ed up and could be causing turbulence to the sensor ultimately...engine cut off

... it could... but if your intake is stock, it's highly unlikely that any significant dirt particles have made it to your mass airflow sensor (the stock intake draws air through about 2 feet of tubing before it even reaches a filter). Mass airflow sensor damage is more common in cars with aftermarket high-flowing intakes where the particals can go through the filter directly into the sensor. The stock intake doesn't make it easy for those particles to even reach the filter, let alone the sensor. It's definately worth a look though. (Speaking of sensors, it could be related to the TPS too.)
Are you in Illinois? (I'd gather from speaking with the guys up in Streamwood that you are, but you may have talked to him over the phone, so I figured I'd ask.)

I believe what you read about the intake piping was for eliminating extra tubing on NAs... doesn't apply to you. When you install the JWT Pop Charger, that'll be all the work you have to do with the intake (except for removing all the stock airbox components).
The TPS is the Throttle Position Sensor... it's on the driver's side throttle body. Here's how to test it...

ummm we dont really celebrate that...now 1000 you go..cool look 1000...but still no one is to impressed. silverhand has like almost 10,000 posts...now that is an accomplishment...but it also makes since for who he is...the TPS is the Throttle Position Sensor...it can get dirty or missagjusted and the car will run crummy....look it up there are threads write ups what not on the web on how to clean or adjust it...

I go to TT.NET to be serious - research or help
I go to 3ZC to make fun of idiots, because those people answer questions even when they don't know the answer
I go to ChicagoZ.com and here to help and talk... much more friendly places to be
And for reference, I've been on TT.NET since August of 01, 3ZC since fall of 03, ChicagoZ since spring 04, and here only for a year and a month, so the fact that I have less posts here makes sense.
I've also posted on Boost-World.com, 350ZForum.com, My350Z.com, ZChickz.com, ZCar.com, and even Supraforums.com, VWVortex.com, and Nico Forums (as well as others that I'm sure I've forgotten)... all substantially less though (I only have 35 posts on My350Z.com)
