I'm sure I'm going to be blasted for this but I'm just curious at what are some of the diffrences between the VG30DE and the VG30DETT that would prevent you from just bolting on exhaust manifold and a couple of TT? If someone could take a couple minuets to explain it would be vary helpfull. I know that the VG30DE has a compression of 8.5:1. Which should be good enough for turbo's.

LOL No, you don't know.

VG30DETT's have 8.5:1 compression, VG30DE's are 10.5:1. You absolutely cannot bolt turbos onto a VG30DE.

Search... every NA owner has asked this question at some point in time. Easiest way to turbo an NA is an engine swap.

oops

Yes, 10.5:1... still too high for FI.

I really must be slipping my old age.

What about swapping TT internals into an N/A block?

Why? Because you want to do excess work for no reason?

The blocks are the same, but that still neglects the fact that the heads are different, plenums are different, etc.

Again I am forced to repeat myself... a flat out swap is the easiest way.

he was saying 10.5:1 with a turbo needs methanol injection to attempt any real boost at. he was building onto my statement. lol. on an NA it would be pointless
