Clip vs Motor
I just bout a running NA for $700, so I'm legit finally to start my trek
So I have a question before I really start the serious planning/spending.... Why are people so amped on buying a front clip for $3800+ when I can buy the vg30dett for $1500 from a local jdm dealer then buy inter coolers, plumbing, etc. I own a welder and enjoy fabrication, so building brackets for fitment would be something I would enjoy.... What is the point behind paying the extra $2300 when I'm sure I can get decent parts for $1000-1200?
Keep in mind I'm not looking at building a 500rwhp car, but would like to see 350ish to the ground once I'm done.

Thanks, but no offense, I need someone who has experience in the actual swap so I make the correct decision
I just don't want to start down the wrong road, but I see nothing wrong with buying pieces if it saves me serious cash. Its not my main vehicle, so i'm in no rush.
