Dead car - need help...
I'm new to the forum, and it looks like some good advice is offered around here, so I think I'll give it a shot.
About a week ago, I was driving and my headlights flickered a little bit. A couple minutes later, the radio just cut off. The engine ran and idled fine, but when I shut the car off, it was completely dead when I tried to start it five minutes later. The battery and alternator are both less than six months old. (Just a point of information here - by completely dead, I mean completely dead. No interior lights, no accessories - nothing. The engine doesn't even try to crank. I know it isn't not the ignition switch, since stuff that isn't wired on that switch don't work, either.) I thought it might be the main fusible link, and, after waiting a week for the part to come in, I replaced it only to find that that wasn't the problem.
Can anyone offer some advice or had any experience with everything going dead?
Please help me if you can. It sucks having to rely on others for rides everywhere.

Check your main grounding point behind the battery. You have to take the battery out to get to it. the wire from the negative battery runs directly to it. I have seen that grounding bolt corrode out completely. What your describing would happen if that main ground was interupted. Let us know what you find.

2nd on the main ground. Also, just b/c problems tend to happen together, you might want to check the rest of your wiring as much as you can. Your current problem is most likely dealing with your main ground, but check the rest of the grounds as well. There is also a ground on the plenum...ahh here's a link with some pictures.

That one on eBAY is not necessarily designed to fit a Z32, plus there aren't instructions. Design Racing sells some of those on eBAY, and I've some bad experiences with them. There's a thread around here somewhere about building your own. I built my own. It was easy, and it fits better than any kit you'll get off eBAY. Do a search for grounding net and you'll find it. I gave pretty detailed directions on how to build it.

I do believe that this thread is what 91zxtt was referring to.
