ahhh.... i still say do it yourself. save the work for when you come accross a problem or obstacle you cant handle or need help.

its probably gonna take a lot longer than 2 hours

you cannot get to both of the downpipes easily with the tranny still attached. so you can either take the tranny off for easy access, or use some special tools and small hands.

heres an install guide without dropping the tranny
http://www.geocities.com/boostbyturbo/downpipe.html

you might be looking at 4 hours for the shop, around $400 from what others said

also its reccommended to get anything else possible or probable done if youre getting your downpipes installed...ie clutch, flywheel, rear main seal, tranny seals, driveshaft, etc...

my bad... i was thinking the O2 housing wasnt the same part as the downpipe. on the DSM's ive been doing a lot of turbo swaps on lately for some reason its turbo/O2housing/downpipe/cat-midpipe/catback/axleback. thats the exhaust setup on them... soo a downpipe swap if the bolts turn freely would be an hour at most. we swapped out turbo from one car with no lift working abouve the engine in 1.5 hours. it was.... fun....

Just a fair warning: if you can't do this on your own, the Z32 is going to be a VERY expensive car to own.

Not trying to dredge up old threads, but I came across this doing a search. The link to the write up doesn't work anymore. Does anyone have a link on how to install downpipes? I would really like to install them on my Z.

No one? I'd like to look at doing this myself to save some money.

I highly recommend removing the tranny, makes it so much easier. I had to buy new O2 sensors though because the holes that were on the new DPs were smaller. And there is a nut (not sure if right term) on stock ones that connects the O2 sensor and the stock DP. If that makes sense lol
