Downpipe problem
Alright i checked out my car today and it looked good cause it was a little further on the assembly, but i noticed that the passenger side downpipe is sitting on the frame. There is NO room between the two and also my starter is right next to the downpipe, and there are wire also next to the downpipe going to the starter am i going to have a major problem with this???

If the downpipe is touching the frame, then you will have problems. The problems could be vibration and broken exhaust manifold studs and/or turbo studs. My downpipes ran very close tothe fram and the starter. You should be able to loosen the downpipe at the turbo and turn it slightly. Re-tighten it and check your clearance. There's nothing you can do about the starter. That's just how it works. There is a small heatshield that should be attached to the starter that helps protect it from the heat. If it's not there, then fabricate one out of thin aluminum. With the wires that run down there...just make sure to secure them away from the pipe and they should be fine.

This car is a 1990 N/A and now has a VG30DE TT motor in it. Has the engine been shifted? i guess since this motor was just put in recently and i bought the DP's from ultimatez.com a couple months back they are supposed to be like the Greg Dupree DP's just a little cheaper. You can actually see a picture of the DP's in my post in the general forum, it was like a month or two ago the post is called https://www.zdriver.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11336 (rebirth of my lady)
