egr delete ? need advice!
Hi guys, I just started a restore of a 90 2+2 na, one of the first things that had to go was the full exhaust system (rusted out completely). I got a cat back and magen test pipes that get rid of the cats. My area has no emmisions so that is perfect but the test pipes do not have and outlets for the egr, I know there are kits but I am not putting a clutch on the car right away so i dont want to pull the tranny to do it. So my ? is what is the point of the delete kit, if i cap the tubes doesnt that essentially delete it. Any advice would be great I am pretty new to working on these cars so this site has helped me out a ton Thanks again guys

Test pipes and cats NEVER have EGR outlets... they occasionally have AIV outlets. Your EGR valve connects to your driver's side exhaust manifold.
Search AIV removal and you'll find that it's a much easier process.
