hey everyone, i have recently put an ingin cold air intake on my 90 na Z, and i have heard that cold air intakes can sometimes flood your engine if you drive in the rain. Has anyone ever encountered this problem on their Z?

 

I seriously doubt that your going to flood your engine with a cold air intake. No bonehead would engineer an intake that would have the potential to collect water and flood your engine.

The only way it could flood your system is if water can get to your filter. Z's are safe with cold air intake in the normal air filter spot. Someone I knew though decided to put a pop charger air filter on his car. He then put it down the side of his engine near the road to collect more air as he drives. Nothing has happened yet, but if he hits a water crossing or standing water, then he will flood his engine.
