engine temp sensor code, wont turn off

alright i have tried all that i know to try, i have had the code on for the past few weeks, i have another car so i have just been driving my z every once in a while, i have checked the continuity of the wires going back to the ecu, they are fine, i have cleaned the plug and checked for continuity from the end of the plug to the ecu, thats fine, i changed the temp sensor, just put it in 2 days ago, it is fine, and i still am getting the code???? could it be my ecu? i have a jdm clip that i had put in its an auto computer, i have a 5 speed, i dont know anything else it could be. thanks guys

so oyu did everithingpossible exept. reset the ECU after installing new sensor. uhm yeah unplugthe negative terminal on the battery for about 2 - 3 hours. then plug it back in. your ECU will be reset and that should takecare of teh code. now if itlights back up while driving. then it;s somethign else.

oh, yeah i bought a car that had a rebuilt engine, and whoever the hell put that crap together did a crappy job, so a rod bearing spun... 3 and a 1/2 months later (long time waiting for everything) i have a tt, and 3 months after that i have a daily driver.. best investment yet!!
