Factory Alarm Keeps Going Off
Has anyone had this problem or heard of this problem on a z32's factory alarm? The car is not being touched, but the car alarm keeps going off. Is there a way to fix this or disconnect the alarm? I have the service manual for my car, so if there are instructions you may want to give me, you can refer to a page in the service manual.
I would much rather not just disconnect the horn, although getting rid of problem of waking my neighbors, the alarm would still be going off (which would not help my battery) and when driving I could not alert people to get out of my way.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

The 96 TT model in particular had some serious factory defects.
The alarm going off by itself is an indication of a blown flux capacitor. By now, your muffler bearing should be shot too. I suggest you sell the car immediately to me.

i had the same problem
I just disconnected the damn thing! I couldn't figure out which connector was causing the problem, so I just pulled the whole thing out. In case your interested, the alarm module is located right next to the ECU. Just to the upper right of it. You can either disconnect both harnesses or just take it out altogether. Its a small little box with a big blue relay attached to it. I would just unplug it first. See if your car still starts and runs alright. Some ppl have stated that their car won't after unplugging and others have told me that there is a fuse inside of the box. Not so in my alarm and the little SOB wasn't easy to open either. Hope that helps peace
