Don't know why you're glad that yours isn't a Fairlady. Fairlady Z is actually the true name of the Z. Fairlady goes all the way back to the early generation Z's. Z is the shorter versionof the name, like Bob is for Robert. It's used more widely in Japan. There's a story about that how that name came about, but for the life of me, I can't remeber it. I'm sure Rizz knows it. Hey Rizz, you got time to tell is a story??
So, actually, whether you like it or not, your car is a Fairlady. Sorry to bust your bubble.
I have a Fairlady Z badge on the rear of my car. Funny story about that....I was coming out of the grocery store one day and saw a couple kids looking at my car. As I was walking towards them, I heard one of them say, 'Man, these Fairlady Z's are so rare,...they're so much faster than the other Z's. I just had to laugh.

I think Mr. Nissan was the one that chose the name... Look at my sig and you can see that I added the badge... alot of people don't know what it means and ask me... I think im the only one around that has it so it makes my car unique
