Fuel leak at Filler

Fuel leak at Filler
I have a '93 NA coupe. When I fill it up with gas, as soon as the fuel nozzle kicks off automatically at the pump, you can't add any more fuel without it pouring out. Usually you can at least round up the gas cost and it will still fit into the gas tank without overflowing. Also, you smell fuel inside the car for a very long time (almost the whole tank). I have tighten all of my fuel lines in the engine compartment (since this is a typical issue with the Z32), replaced the fuel filter, but the gas smell is obviously is coming from the filler. When you fill it up when its cold out, and then drive it into the garage (warmer envirnoment), the fuel expands (of course) and overflows out of the filler tube all over the side of the vehicle. I thought that this was a sealed system (pressurized), thence fuel should not be allowed to overflow out of the filler neck. I did a search on this forum and didn't find anything that addresses this type of fuel leak issue. Should I start out by changing the gas cap or what. I thought that I would ask in case someone else has already been thru this and can save me some time - THANKS!

yes, gas cap is your first thing to change out. Then I would replace your fpr, dampener, and all your lines. Especially the fpr. You shouldn't top off....there's no need to and your going to have problems if you fill it up too much. Just don't.
