The headlight mod?

To do this you basically have to cut and remove the 9006 harness that is your low beam.
Then solder in a 9005 harness and use 9005 bulbs in place of the 9006's. I've done this. easy mod.

that's the hard way to do it. You can just file down the connectors of a 9005 bulb and it'll fit right into a 9006 socket. (I don't like cutting harnesses unless there's a reason to, and this can be done without cutting any harnesses)
Inside the plug, there are 2 grooves on a 9005 plug that aren't on a 9006 plug. You'll need to use a dremel, razor blade, small flathead screwdriver, whatever, to file them down. That's the most difficult part, as they're hard to get to.
On the outside of the plug, there are 3 tabs that are used to hold the bulb in the socket. Use a 9006 bulb for reference, but the "top" tab (the only one parallel with the connector) needs to be clipped properly.
Then you can just plug it in and use it, and you'll still have 9005 high beams as well.

then you definately had a good reason to replace the harness... and might as well go with 9005 while you're at it (you probably had to file the outside tab anyway, to get it in the socket, right?)
I didn't say your way was wrong, I just said I don't like cutting a harness without reason... and you obviously had a very good reason!

If you do the inside tabs only, you can get it into the plug, but good luck getting it in the headlight if that outside tab isn't ground down.
