HKS Twin Power DLI ignition
Ok guys, in your opinions, is this thing worth $550. Does anyone here have it. Does it work? Most of you know what I already have on the car and what I'm putting on the car, but here's a recap....
Dinan chip - converting to Ashspec.
Stillen intake.
Stillen catback exhaust.
Speciaty Z down pipes and mid-pipes. In garage waiting to install.
UR underdrive pulleys.
PTI 1-piece aluminum driveshaft. In garage waiting to install.
Lightweight flywheel. In garage waiting to install.
ACT clutch. In garage waiting to install.
Would you spend the $ on it?

Just realized I posted this in the wrong area. Oh well. I received an e-mail from Z1 motorsports saying that we don't need to upgrade to the DLI system unless we're having problems with upgraded turbo's blowing out the spark. He said this usually happens when you reach 25+ psi of boost. Interesting.

Moved to Performance/Technical.

link on how to install one in case you ever get one.
I don't remember then being so expensive though. I think the price jumped recently. Dunno why though.

From what I've heard/read...not worth it. They did a survey on TT.net a little while ago, actually a while ago, and most people who had the HKS twin power ignition, felt little to no performance gains. Like you heard from Z1, i remember it solved all the problems for one guy with TD-06 turbo's running A LOT of boost and NOS.

True. How do thoses guys stay in business? They have terrible service, lousy prices and stupid technicians that give bad advise. Hopefully those of us who have purchased from there in the past have learned to never do it again and we can relay that knowledge onto our less-experienced z-ers. Down with Stillen!!!
I must say that I'm quite impressed with Z1motorsports. I sent them an e-mail with questions on the DLI ignition and I received an informative response within a couple hours.

if you can work a wrench and wire stripper than you can build your own grounding net.
Check the tt.net tech pages in my new recently redesigned link page.
^^^shameless Plug^^^
as far as the twin ignition goes, i'd like to see someone do a before and after dyno comparison or emission comparison. Just to see if the frickin thing does anything at all.
Oh, almost forgot, Down with Stealin'!!!! I mean Stillen!!!

Thanks guys. Much appreciated.
Geez Rizz...I can work a wrench and a wire stripper. But that's just the point, it involves me doing work. If I start doing that around the house or my staff hear about it...expectations may be established. LOL

and Rizz, If I decide that I want to **** away $550, then I'll let you know what happend with the DLI.
Dan-The grounding net is really easy to do. I did it. It took 45 minutes and cost $15. It probably works as well, if not better than the Stillen POS.
