A.I.V. should there be a sound coming from that arear?
Hi, I just bought a 1991 2+2 n/a, and i am not sure if this is something that i should concern with. From the manual that i have, it does not explain how to check the A I V control valves. Also, the book shows that the valves have sub-filters. Do these have to be changed every so many miles? Could anyone tell me where i could get more information, such as a better repair manuals, bulletins,or anyweb site that i can go to.

Just did the AIV & filter clean up. A heads up, two screws on each filter had to be drilled, cut, filed to get out. Same for the valves . Used an old trick on the rusted screw heads, took a hack saw and cut a slot in then for a std flat blade screwdriver. It worked on the valves.
BTW the parts were seriously carboned up.
Thanks for the info
Cheers
P.S. Those little plastic pins that hold the panels on, just go out and buy new ones before you do the job as there's no saving them.
