Iacc valve replacement...

Whats up guys? Ok let me just start off by saying that im sick of the high idle on my n/a so i bit the bullet and ordered a new acc valve and iavc valve from courtesyparts.com and it went on back order so i have to wait 2 weeks untill i get it. I was just wondering if there is any tips anyone could give me. Im going to try to get my girlfriends digital camara and do a good write up on it. I found one on twinturbo.net that looks pretty helpful. I also ordered a K&N cone air filter kit im going to put in here soon.

Thanks for the tips

There is a lot of components that have to be removed first before you can even see those damn things, mainly vacumm hoses and electrical harness.

Real tight area to get to, what helped me out a lot was buying a 1/4" drive air rachet, a life saver at getting the bolts loose and out. I wouldn't recommend using the air tool to re-install, might have to much torque and break a bolt.

Just take your time, it can be done with engine in place.

What makes you think that this is causing your high idle. Lots of things can cause this. I'm betting this isn't your problem.

i didnt have too much trouble getting to or getting out the iacv and aac. i had some problems getting it back in

be patient and you will get it

no, buying those parts may not fix your problem, but truthfully, i would still get those two parts, just to know that they are new and work, so that you shouldnt have a problem with them down the road

Im in the process of replaceing everything that could have to do with the idle. This is the last thing on my list nothing has really helped and like what b300z said just knowing the fact that its new will make me happy even if it wont fix the problem.....It was ideling at 2,000-1,000 now i got it to not go above 1,500. I would assume since I'v tried everything else this is more than likely the culpret to my idel problems.
