Here's it easier... in order

with car idle, unplug yellow connector

turn idle adjustment screw to set base idle
counter clockwise to increase idle
clockwise to decrease idle

plug in the yellow connector, idle should shoot up about 500 rpm to indicate the ECU is taking over idle control

I don't know if this helps but this is all i know it =)
I have one small problem. I have a 84 N/A with an idle issue. i adjust the idle down. but the screw only lets it get down to about 900-1100 rpm when it's cold. when it's hot, it will jump up to around 1500. if i try to adjust idle while hot, no matter where the idle set screw is, it wont make a difference. occasionally while hot, the idle will bump up to almost 2000 untill you rev the engine once, and it shoots back down to 1500. And as for this above listed yellow plug. The only one i have is on the wiring harness to the control valve. Any help would be appreciated.
