Intake Modification

Alright, I want to remove the stock Air intake and slap on some high flow Filters. Problem: my Z doesn't like all that air and shuts off immediately. Can I get around that or will that hurt the engine?

Welcome to ZDriver!

Maybe try the correct way and use a pop-charger.

Hey man, no need to get hostile... i haven't done anything yet. My last car (1992 Celica GT) didn't have that sensor and I made a custom intake for that. This whole "too much air shuts the engine off" thing is new to me.

no ones hostile, i told b300z i hate him suddenly. read between the lines. and so im confused, are you saying you actually DIDNT use the MAF sensor. that would be a huge problem. celica's probably have a map so it has the sensor just not in the same location and it runs on different principles
