I have a 92TT and I am getting a code that the knock sensor is bad, does anybody out there know where the sensor is located? Thanks

 

Yes and it is a pain in the butt to get too. It is located on top of the block between the heads under the lower intake. I have heard of guys replacing it while the tranny was out but it would still be a little tricky. If you are familiar with pulling the upper and lower intake then go for it otherwise it will cost ya. If you have a mechanic do it go ahead and get you rear main seal replaced as well as the clutch if he has to pull the tranny. Goodluck.
